IT System Specialist Core Collection System (m/w)


 The IT System Specialist Core Collection System (here Fico) is the technical owner of all group wide installed Core Collection Systems (CCS). As the technical system owner the role is responsible for setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of infrastructure belonging to the CCS. The IT System Specialist CCS is strongly connected to Group Business Applications department. The role works from the operating system layer up to the application layer.


  • To act as a member of the IT operations team
  • Monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting of CCS
  • Setup new infrastructure connected to CCS
  • Technical documentation
  • Provide technical input to ensure adherence to corporate system designs and general architecture
  • To act as a counter part for non-technical stakeholders
  • Do research for new solutions
  • Analyse technical issues and provide technical solutions
  • Liaise with the vendor


The IT System Specialist Core Collection System is the main technical contact for requests and topics connected to Fico systems. The role is expected to liaise closely with all members of the IT operations team and members of the Group Business Applications team. Especially the dba role will be a major counterpart. Furthermore the relationship to the vendor has to be maintained and developed.


Knowledge & Experience

  • Excellent knowledge around Microsoft and Linux based operating systems
  • Proven experience in managing JBoss/Tomcat/Apache
  • Demonstrable system administration experience of Microsoft SQL 2014 and above
  • Solutions architecture and design knowledge
  • Strong documentation skills are essential
  • Ability to handover project work to BAU via a transition into service process
  • Knowledge of Microsoft fundamentals – Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS etc.
  • Operating knowledge of all server hardware and software platforms including virtualisation with VMWare
  • The ability to work efficiently, effectively and use own initiative.
